Stake Conference
With love and gratitude, we invite you to join us for the stake conference of the Iowa City Iowa Stake on June 1-2, 2024. Elder Zachary F. Evans, an Area Seventy in the North America Central Area, will preside at the conference.
We will hold a Saturday afternoon leadership session with all members of stake and ward/branch councils; a Saturday evening session for adults and friends 18 and older; and a Sunday morning general session for all members and friends.
All are encouraged to gather in-person at the stake center in Iowa City (570 Dublin Drive, Iowa City, IA 52246) or attend broadcasts in the Fairfield Ward building (2143 S 32nd St, Fairfield, IA 52556). Spanish and French translation will be available at the stake center and via Zoom.

Stake Conference
We are thrilled to invite you to a special stake conference with Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and his companion Sister Mary Cook on Sunday March 10 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. The conference is for members of the Iowa City Stake at the Iowa City Stake Center.
Please make every effort to attend and invite friends and family to attend with you. If you are not able to attend in person you may view the conference live via this Zoom Link. A friendly reminder to set your clocks ahead one hour on Saturday night.
Priesthood Leadership & Combined Leadership Conferences
Priesthood Leadership Conference (PLC):
Begins at 9am. Those who attend the PLC are asked to be in their seats by 8:30.
Only bishops, branch presidents and Elder Quorum Presidents are invited to the 9am PLC meeting.
Combined Leadership Conference (CLC)
Beings at 10:15. Members who attend the 10:15 meeting are requested to be present and ready to enter the building no later than 9:45 AM.
Invited Attendees Include the bishop (or Branch President) and his two counselors, EQ Presidents, YW Presidents, RS Presidents and Primary Presidents.
At the conclusion of the PLC, CLC attendees should take their seats as soon as possible.
We have been invited to do everything within our power to sit together as a stake. We know this will not work perfectly, but please make a good faith effort to be together. Members of the Iowa City Stake are invited to gather at 9:45 at the pavilion (weather permitting) so we can enter the building/chapel together.
Please RSVP and indicate attendance on this Google Sheet whether you will be in attendance or not. Every person should have either a 1 (attending) or a 0 (not attending) next to their name.
This is a special opportunity to learn from an apostle and we look forward to learning and worshipping together.

LIGHT THE WORLD WITH SONGS OF CHRISTMAS
The Iowa City Stake Presidency invites members and friends of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Light the World with Songs of Christmas on Sunday December 10, 2023 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Gather with Rick Olson at the organ in the Iowa City stake center to worship the Savior singing Christmas hymns together. Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We are thrilled for the visit of General Primary President Susan H. Porter, General Young Women Presidency 1st Counselor Tamara W. Runia, and General Relief Society Presidency 2nd Counselor Kristin M. Yee the weekend of October 13-14.
They have given us broadcast links and the following updates about the devotionals and training they will be hosting throughout that weekend:
The Friday evening Relief Society devotional broadcast will originate from the Nauvoo Stake Center chapel with in-person invites for Nauvoo, Davenport, and Peoria stakes.
The Saturday morning primary devotional broadcast will now originate from the Iowa City Stake Center chapel with in-person invites all primary children from the Iowa City and Cedar Rapids stakes in Sunday dress.
The Saturday evening devotional is for young men as well as young women with in-person invites for Des Moines, Ames, and Mt. Pisgah stakes. Local units may choose to gather for broadcast viewing.
The Saturday afternoon organization training will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Invited participants now include not only stake and ward Relief Society, young women, and primary presidencies (adult leaders only), but also bishoprics/branch presidencies, stake young men presidency, stake presidency, and high counselors who serve these organizations. All are invited to attend in-person in the Iowa City stake center (broadcast also available).

The Iowa City Stake is joining other Stakes on June 25th to set a record for uploading photos of headstones. Photos of headstones are a critical source of information that pre-date other ways of documenting vital information. Please help rescue our roots and plan on participating by doing the following:
