What is the focus of this gathering?

Come unto Christ through covenants available in His House.

What time should I arrive in Nauvoo?

Reserve temple ordinances at a time that works for you. As a stake, we will meet at the Joseph and Hyrum statue across the street from the Nauvoo temple from 11-11:30am. We will have a short program in which the Primary children will sing “I Love to See the Temple” and be able to reverently walk through the foyer of the temple. President Wilde will then share brief remarks and we will take a stake photograph.

What are some of the planned Christ-centered activities?

  • Worship the Savior through ordinances in His House.

  • Record your testimony of the Savior (written or video) using provided materials.

  • Watch Church movies about the Lord’s house at the Visitors Center.

How do I reserve a time to perform temple ordinances?

Same as normal. Beginning June 1, you can reserve a temple slot at https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/temples/schedule/appointment?lang=eng. If your preferred time is full, sign up for a different slot and/or email Daniel Newton (daniel.w.newton@gmail.com) and then check back later because more slots may become available.

Is support for other languages available inside the temple?

We have arranged for the 2:30pm endowment session to be presented in Spanish.  If you participate in an endowment session in which you do not speak the language, translation headsets are available. Translation for other events and ordinances will need to be arranged separately.

Is childcare provided?

If needed, you will need to coordinate your own childcare. The Nauvoo stake center will be available for childcare purposes.

What other activities will be available?

  • Get an individual/family portrait in front of the temple by a stake photographer (10am—12:30pm)

  • Bring a lunch and join us on the lawn across from the temple (11:30am—2pm)

  • Learn pioneer family dances from the Strathearns in Partridge Grove (1pm—3pm) Details can be found here.

  • Volunteer for service on temple grounds (email daniel.w.newton@gmail.com if interested)

  • Visit Nauvoo historic sites (open 9am—5pm)
