The Holy Bible
A record of God’s people, from the creation of the world, down through the centuries alongside Adam, Noah, Abraham, and other holy prophets. A record also of Jesus the Christ, who left His heavenly realm and its glory to come to earth, show us how to live, and lay down His life so that we may be forgiven and redeemed from death.
The Book of Mormon
A parallel record of God’s people who, in 600 B.C., left Jerusalem and were scattered to the Americas prior to the Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem. Prophets in this record bear powerful testimony of Christ and invite all to come unto Him. The crowning event recorded in the Book of Mormon is the Savior’s appearance to the people in the Americas following His resurrection and ascension into Heaven. He blesses their sick and their children, and teaches them His gospel. Both Ancient and Modern prophets invite us to read His words and know, through the power of God, that they are true.
